A Reading & Watching post.
I am still reading I'll Be Gone In The Dark because I haven't been in much of a reading mood, despite my towering pile of things I'd hoped to get through so that I might be able to donate some books if they weren't keepers.
In the past week or so I've seen You're Cordially Invited, which was your average fun little romp, Get Away, which was meh, and The Boy and the Heron, which was fine, but near the bottom of my Ghibli list if I'm honest.
Yesterday I randomly got in the mood to re-watch the original 1995 Jumanji, which is a banger, and then got in a Disney mood and watched both Lady and the Tramp and 101 Dalmatians- I love the oldschool animation style, and these are from the 50's and the 60's respectively. I started Babygirl out of curiosity since it was getting so much buzz, but I'm not super impressed. Tonight I'm watching The Lost World, since one of the last movies I watched in 2024 was Jurassic Park. If I have time, I'll also watch Jurassic Park III to knock out the trilogy.
I also finished the final episode of 911: Lone Star. I can't believe it's over for good. I'll miss it very much.
