I will say this, though: Never, in my life, have I seen complete unanimous agreement in any comment section before. Incredible.

Right?! Unbelievable train wreck. I've been watching the reaction videos on YouTube, and the Reddit threats are interesting, too.

Especially funny is the 'petition' to give Goatman back his bridge. 🤣

It's sad, but then not the first time I've been disappointed by a creator. It's a shame they handled things so poorly. I'll miss them. RIP.

I'm just curious to see what they might say. As of now the youtube account, the Watcher IG account along with Steven, Ryan and Shane's IG accounts are all completely flooded with comments about it.

Also, the timing was... very daring, given they begin their tour of live shows in the UK this week. I'm going to keep an eye on Reddit because I need to know what happens at the lives.

After reading a lot of comments and letting it percolate, I think there are probably two possibilities.

1. The execution of the thing was poorly planned and they overestimated what the fans would deal with, but the bottom line is that what they want from their craft isn't the same as what the fans want (they want to move up, slick production, more expensive shows, etc.). The parting of the ways is sad.

2. They knew what they were doing, and it was well-planned. That means they don't care about their fans (only the ones who have $$, and not the poor or international ones) and are willing to lose that many to move up. Maybe they feel all this *bad* publicity will gain them new fans out of curiosity. This one feels like a betrayal and an F-U.

Also, now that I think about it, things haven't been really the same lately. I watch the podcasts, and they talk a lot about a Hollywood-type lifestyle that I just can't connect with (the videos were getting boring for me, so I wasn't paying much attention anymore). Things like having designer salads delivered to the office every day, what they were spending money on, etc. That wasn't as much R&S, but y'know, still. They could have let it go to their heads.

Either way, I feel like it's the end of an era no matter what happens. No matter what they do, I'm not sure there is any going back from here. Which is sad. I'll miss them.

Man, right? I haven't been keeping up with them since Unsolved so I'm not that invested, but I was legit surprised. Even aside from being very tone deaf it just seems like such poor planning -- as several people have pointed out, they're basically gonna need a whole new fanbase. What a mess.
