I have such immense sympathy for characters who die in horror movies when they didn't even want to be there in the first place. Partners who got dragged along on a trip, or friends who were talked into doing something they didn't want to.

That said, I also feel that horror movies would be more compelling if the Big Bad were up against smart victims a little more often.
