It rained today! If you live anywhere other than Southern California, you're probably like "So what?" But here, man, we're lucky if we get a dozen days of rain in a whole year. I woke up, groggily got through dressing myself and making sure I was mostly presentable, then opened the front door to head out to work and found that everything was wet. It's a rare and special occasion, alright. Put me in a great mood for the rest of the day; even when the rain stopped, it was still overcast and drizzling for the rest of the day.
So of course, for dinner, I'm now whipping up a batch of Southern (sometimes called 'Georgia-style') Brunswick stew. It's one of my favorites, and I like to think the old country doctor would've served this to his family a time or two. I've even made biscuits to go along with it. If you're interested in culinary pursuits, the recipe I use can be found here. Couldn't be easier.
This weekend, I'm going to try and start on my piece for
intoabar. The character I chose was, predictably, Leonard. The character they chose for me to write him against is Agatha Harkness.

I've got some thinking to do. Lots of creative thinking, a whole weekend free of obligations, and a fridge full of Space Coke.
